Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon located near Page, Arizona. The photo is of Upper Antelope Canyon, or The Corkscrew. Lower Antelope Canyon is also photogenic! Depending on the sun's position, the walls of water-sculpted, layered sandstone glow golden and the floor is illuminated by shafts of light.

Bryce Canyon spires are called hoodoos and are located in an amphitheatre of these eroded columns of colored limestone nestled up against a cliff-face. This photograph was taken from farther along the plateau. Bryce Canyon is in southwestern Utah, and is named after Ebenezer Bryce, an early rancher who described it as "a helluva place to lose a cow."

Pasiphae (Pasipae) was wife the wife of King Minos. She wast the daughter of Helios and Perse, and mother to Glaucus, Andogeus, Phaedra, and Ariadne.

After King Minos insulted the god Poseidon by sacrificing a substitute bull, the god made Pasiphae develop a passionate love for the White Bull. Pasiphae became mother of the Minotaur after having Daedalus design a construction that permitted her mating with the White Bull.
